I moved to Mannum in 1977 with Wendy and my three children and since that time we have had a totally enjoyable personal family and professional life here. I have been rewarded by seeing the practice now grow to what it has become and continue to enjoy active medical practice in addition to my involvement in GP medical education Celebrating 30yrs of rural medical practice February 2006 |

I moved to work in Mannum in 1999 with my wife and then two children (now expanded to 4!). I began working initially as a GP registrar, and went on to complete my training soon after in the year 2000. I have post graduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Paediatrics and find these aspects of rural practice very rewarding. I have enjoyed working with registrars and medical students and am very supportive in continuing the strong teaching aspect to this medical practice. Being involved in the formation of a local men’s group over the last couple of years and a newly commenced youth clinic in 2002 has had made my experience in general practice more fulfilling. Other activities I have been involved in include working as the local representative for the Murray Mallee Division of General Practice and Regional Mental Health Strategies. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, having a hit of tennis and squash when I can, being involved in the local Catholic church or just relaxing with friends (photo courtesy of Sturt Fleurieu GPET) |

Brian Moore -M.B.B.S. (Adelaide) F.A.C.R.R.M.
I am semi-retired and am working at the Mannum Medical Centre 2 1/2 days per week. I am enjoying my slower life style, having worked previously in my own busy Practice at Woodside and have spent time working for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and also time in Practice in Alice Springs. I still enjoy my work and spend my leisure time gardening and playing lawn bowls. Brian received a service award for 38yrs of Rural Service February 2004.
