Appointments
can be made in advance by phone or in person. The receptionist should be
notified if the appointment is urgent or if a longer appointment is required.
Appointments are made at 15 minute intervals however it is necessary to take
into account that emergencies may effect waiting times.

Accounts
Full pension and DVA cardholders will be bulk billed
Payment of the account in full at the time of service is encouraged. To
facilitate this credit card facilities are available in addition to accepting
cash or cheque. Where payment of account is made the practice will forward the completed claim
to Medicare.
Consulting

SATURDAY MORNING CONSULTING
We
are open on Saturday mornings. Dr Hamoudi Aldyni is the consulting doctor.
Appointments must be made
with reception to have a Saturday morning
appointment.
Consulting
hours will be 9.00 am – 12.00 noon.
All public holidays we will be closed
Emergencies
If emergency attention is required patients should attend the
Outpatient/Casualty area at the Mannum Hospital for attention and assessment by
hospital nursing staff who will contact the appropriate duty doctor. This
emergency care is provided by the doctors of the Mannum Medical Centre as a
private service and is not covered by the Mannum Hospital.
In view that there will be some fee changes as individually decided by each Associate Doctor PLEASE when either making an appointment or checking in for your appointment, ask about any fee changes that may apply to your treating Doctor.
All patients holding a full Pension Entitlement or DVA Card will be bulk billed.
Home Visits
Home
visits can be organised with the Duty Doctor. When requesting home calls
please explain the urgency and provide a telephone number of contact.
Aminya Hostel is regularly visited by the doctors of this practice.
Health

These assessments and Plans are
available.
Immunisation
This practice actively supports Immunisation for all ages and can be arranged by appointment at any time. The practice
allows the first Wednesday morning every month for free group immunisation organised
by the Local Council, with bookings being made directly through the Council.
A full range of immunisations are available at all times.

Repeat prescription policy to take effect as from 1st June 2010. Best medical care suggests that you make an appointment to discuss your medication. We have available the new Fast Clinic.
FAST CLINICS will be held daily between
1.30-2.30pm for repeat
scripts and ongoing referrals.
All appointments will be 5 minutes in length and are bulk billed.
RESULTS
Patients will be notified by the Clinic Nurse of any
Test Results with significant outcomes. If you would like to discuss your result
please make an
appointment with your usual doctor or one of our other doctors at the surgery.
Preventative
Care
The
practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue a reminder
notice offering preventative health services appropriate to the patient's
care.
Special
Interests
Dr
Peter Joyner has a particular interest in women's health and related issues as
well as minor surgery. Dr Stephen Napoli also has a special interest in
mental health, men's health and adolescent/children's health .
Obstetric Care
Antenatal Care can be provided by the Doctors at the
Mannum Medical Centre but deliveries and post natal care will be handled at the
Murray Bridge Hospital. Shared care with specialists is encouraged
for patients needing special care.
Telephone
Messages
All
messages will be taken by the receptionist and relayed to the doctor
concerned. A consultation will not normally be interrupted to answer the
phone. Patients are requested to phone between 2-4pm for pathology results
and ask to speak to the Clinic Nurse.
Interpreter
Services
This service can be arranged through the Interpreting Services at 55 Currie
Street Adelaide on 131450. This is a 24 hour service.
Confidentiality
Your
medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this
practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to
ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of
staff.

Feedback
The Mannum Medicare Centre endeavours to provide a comprehensive, high quality
service for patients. From time to time the practice invites patients to
complete a questionnaire on their views of the practice and how it could be
improved. These surveys are completely confidential and help to improve
the services provided.
The practice is keen to be informed if patients are unhappy with any aspect of the care provided and are encouraged to discuss these issues with the practice manager or the appropriate general practitioner.
